noblejolley1Please join us this Sunday as we try out a new location — the second floor of The Brixton (901 U Street NW) — with Monthly Master Jazz Artist Noble Jolley on keys, deemed the area’s best jazz pianist in the 2013 Washington CityPaper’s annual “Jazzies” awards!

Come join Noble and the rest of our terrific Second Sunday house band.  No cover!  All musicians and appreciators welcome.

RightProperInsidePlease join DC Jazz Jam for our re-launch celebration this Sunday (5/31/15) at new location Right Proper Brewing Company — right next to the historic Howard Theatre and Duke Ellington memorial (and also just a few short steps from Shaw Metro)!

This special Fifth Sunday session and re-launch celebration features a killer, all-star house band:

  • Aaron Myers (emcee and vocalist) — Voted “Best Singer” in the 2015 Washington CityPaper readers poll
  • Dave Kane (keys) — fixture of the DC jazz and classical music scene, fresh off his most recent show with the NSO
  • Tarus Mateen (bass) — Named “Best Bassist” in the CityPaper’s 2012 “Jazzies”
  • Lenny Robinson (drums) — Named “Best Drummer” in the CityPaper’s 2012 “Jazzies”
