DeAndreyHowardThis Sunday, we continue our outstanding trumpet line-up with long-time DC jazz fixture Deandrey Howard returning to the jam as our Monthly Master jazz artist.  Help us keep swinging at our new home on the second floor of The Brixton!  Come out and sit in with Deandrey and our terrific Fourth Sunday house band of Peter Runk, Alex Martin, Ethan Philion, and Alan Kirschenbaum.  No cover!

Sunday 7/19/15: DeAndre Shaifer returns to the jam on trumpet!

DeAndreShaiferWe are pleased to keep the jam rolling in our new home The Brixton (901 U Street NW) with the return of special guest DeAndre Shaifer on trumpet.  DeAndre joined the jam session as one of our “young lions” horns for our 4-year anniversary jam back in 2013 and has come back to host the jam again as Monthly Master jazz artist on more than one occasion.

No cover!  Please come out to join DeAndre and our terrific Third Sunday house band of Howie Jung (keys), Duff Davis (guitar), Phil Ravita (bass), and guest drummer Andrew Guterman (drums).  Also enjoy great food and cocktails at The Brixton.  6:30pm-9:30pm.

Sunday 7/12/15: Re-boot of weekly jams at our new home The Brixton, with special guest Brad Linde on sax!

BradLindePlease join us as we re-boot the weekly Sunday evening jam sessions at our new home, the second floor of The Brixton (901 U Street NW) at the usual time 6:30pm-9:30pm.  No cover!

Monthly Master jazz artist Brad Linde will be kicking off the re-booted session this Sunday, along with our terrific Second Sunday house band.  Brad is known as a thinking-person’s jazz player.  He is the founder of the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra, curated the jazz program at Atlas Performing Arts Center, and has been named the Best Baritone Sax player in the Washington City Paper “Jazzies.”

Come help us show our appreciation to The Brixton for giving the jam session a shot!
