Come join the jam this Sunday (4/30/23) for International Jazz Day as Monthly Master jazz artist and saxophonist Jordon Dixon headlines the session to wrap up our month of #SaxualHealing, along with a special house band of Chris Barrick (keys), Mark Caruso (guitar), Mike Graham (bass), and Kelton Norris (drums).
Among other accolades, Jordon was named the “Best Tenor Sax” in the CityPaper’s annual “Jazzies,” so we are excited to have Jordon lead the jam.
So come sit in with Jordon and the rest of our special Fifth Sunday house band! 6:30-9:00pm @ Haydee’s (3102 Mount Pleasant Street NW). No cover!

Sarah has been a member of the jazz scene since undergrad at Maryland, has a master of music from New England Conservatory, and was a long-time member of the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra, among many, many other achievements and artistic talents.
For our first month of a relaunched jazz jam session, we are going to continue a lineup of outstanding sax players (thanks again to Tedd Baker, Lionel Lyles, and Herb Scott) for a month of much-needed #SaxualHealing.
A really cool-looking high five to everyone who came out to Haydee’s for our test run of the jam in March. We did it! Haydee’s agreed to have the jam on a regular basis, doing three Sundays a month, starting this Sunday (April 2).
Come join the jam this Sunday as Monthly Master jazz artist and saxophonist Herb Scott headlines the session, along with a special house band including Wes Biles (bass), Oren Levine (keys), Adam Fluger (guitar), and Will Stephens (drums). Herb has joined the jam on many occasions and is the organizer of the Wednesday eve
