No jam this Sunday, but great WaPo feature!

giphy-downsized-largeJust a reminder to all that we have NO JAM on Super Bowl Sunday, so you’ll have to jam to your own beat this weekend…

However, in the meantime, the Washington Post “Weekend” insert just featured the DC Jazz Jam on the cover(!) as part of a great story about the state of jazz in DC.

See you next Sunday, February 11th from 6:30-9:30pm @ The Brixton (901 U Street NW)!

Among other accolades, Lionel has won “Best Performing Artist” the CityPaper readers’ poll, and also been named “Best New Jazz Musician” and “Best Tenor Sax” by the CityPaper arts desk.  Lionel can also be seen at almost every Sunday jam anyway, so it’s fun to give him the reins and let him run the show.

Come sit in with Lionel and the rest of our terrific Third Sunday house band.  No cover!  6:30-9:30pm @ The Brixton (901 U Street NW).
