Dominique has piled up a host of recent accolades, including being named Best Jazz Artist in the most recent Wammies, as well as serving as an Artist-in-Residence a the Strathmore and being a top-3 finalist in the Ella Fitzgerald vocal competition.

Dominique will be joined by a special Fourth Sunday house band of Howie Jung (keys), Dave Manley (guitar), Chris Hon (bass), and Julian Berkowitz (drums).

Come join the jam this Sunday (7/16/23) as vocalist Jessica Boykin-Settles headlines the session for the first time since 2019, kicking off a series of #SummerSongbirds in July. In addition to being a guest host herself a number of times, Jessica has also served as a vocal instructor for many of the talented vocalists that have come out to the jam over the years

Jessica will be joined by a special Third Sunday house band of Oren Levine (keys), Parker Speirs (guitar), Zoe Jorgenson (bass), and Kevin Kearney (drums).

Come join the jam this Sunday (7/9/23) as trumpeter Graham Breedlove headlines the session for the first time, as a special bonus to last month’s set of #BadassBuglers, featuring some of the area’s most amazing trumpet players!  This jam session will also be a special “Jazz night out” for any DC-area Indiana University (IU) alumni.

Graham (an IU music school jazz masters program grad himself) will be joined by a special house band of fellow Indiana University alums Joel Kelsey (bass) and Will Stephens (drums), along with Aleks Izotov (keys), and Connor Holdridge (guitar).

Graham is world-traveled musician and educator and can be seen playing all over, including with the U.S. Army Blues Band. Graham’s website is here.

Come join the jam this Sunday (6/25/23) as trumpeter Thad Wilson headlines the session to wrap up our month of #BadassBuglers, featuring some of the area’s top trumpet players! This will also be a special “Jazz night out” for any DC-area Fulbright alumni.

Thad will be joined by a special house band of Carter Stevens (keys), David Cole (guitar), Delorean Fullington (bass), and Paul Jung (drums)..

Thad has been named DC’s Best Trumpet player by the CityPaper’s “Jazzies” awards, among other accolades.  Having Thad back at the jam is always a good time.

Joe will be joined by a special house band of Sammy Munguia (keys), Geoff Reecer (guitar), Percy White (bass), and Sam Prather (drums).

Joe has been named “Best Trumpet” in the Washington City Paper’s “Jazzies” awards, and has played with countless ensembles, including Thievery Corporation.
