The jam is turning 14 years old this month! We have been celebrating all through August and September with awesome pairings of special guests leading the jam–including Nataly Merezhuk (violin), Mercedes Beckman (sax), Abe Mamet (French horn), Chris Barrick (vibes), Brad Linde (sax), Simone Baron (accordion), Victor Provost and Domenic Lewis (steel pans), Dominique Bianco (voice), Tommy Holladay (guitar), and many more.

Up this Sunday (9/17/23) are the Mighty Winds: Seth Kibel and Frank Silva on sax/flute/clarinet. Seth has won multiple WAMMYs and has the distinction of being the jam’s very first “monthly master” guest back in Fall 2011, right after the jam started getting arts grant funding. And Frank is a relatively new transplant to DC but can be seen playing around town, including at Wonderland Ballroom and with the Navy Commodores big band.

Seth and Frank will be joined by a special Third Sunday house band of Carter Stevens (keys), Geoff Reecer (guitar), Percy White (bass), and Will Stephens (drums).

So come sit in with the band and throw your support to a great local joint! 6:30-9:00pm @ Haydee’s (3102 Mount Pleasant Street NW). No cover!
