Come join the jam this Sunday (6/25/23) as trumpeter Thad Wilson headlines the session to wrap up our month of #BadassBuglers, featuring some of the area’s top trumpet players! This will also be a special “Jazz night out” for any DC-area Fulbright alumni.

Thad will be joined by a special house band of Carter Stevens (keys), David Cole (guitar), Delorean Fullington (bass), and Paul Jung (drums)..

Thad has been named DC’s Best Trumpet player by the CityPaper’s “Jazzies” awards, among other accolades.  Having Thad back at the jam is always a good time.

Joe will be joined by a special house band of Sammy Munguia (keys), Geoff Reecer (guitar), Percy White (bass), and Sam Prather (drums).

Joe has been named “Best Trumpet” in the Washington City Paper’s “Jazzies” awards, and has played with countless ensembles, including Thievery Corporation.

Come join the jam this Sunday (6/4/23) as trumpeter Kenny Rittenhouse headlines the session to kick off our month of #BadassBuglers, featuring some of the area’s top trumpet players! Kenny will be joined by a special house band of Hope Udobi (keys), Pete Muldoon (guitar), Eliot Seppa (bass), and Will Stephens (drums).

Kenny has distinguished himself as a current professor of trumpet at Morgan State, a 30-year (!) veteran of the U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble until 2020, and as a current member of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, among other accomplishments and ensembles.

Come join the jam this Sunday (5/21/23) as Monthly Master jazz artist and trombonist Jen Krupa headlines the session to wrap up our month of #BoneThugsnHarmony, featuring some of the area’s top trombonists! (Big thanks to trombonists Greg Boyer and Reginald Cyntje for hosting the sessions earlier this month.) Jen will be joined by a special house band of Terry Marshall (keys), Dave Manley (guitar), Grant Le (bass), and Keith Butler (drums).

Among many other accolades and experiences, Jen has been called the Best Trombonist in DC and has played with some of the area’s top ensembles, including the Navy Band and the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra.

Come join the jam this Mother’s Day Sunday (5/14/23) as Monthly Master jazz artist and trombonist Reginald Cyntje headlines the session to continuee our month of #BoneThugsnHarmony, featuring some of the area’s top trombonists! Reginald will be joined by a special house band of Tim Whalen (keys), Cristian Perez (guitar), Zoe Jorgenson (bass), and Kevin Kearney (drums).

Reginald has been named Best Trombonist by the Washington CityPaper’s annual “Jazzies” awards, among other accolades, and serves as the jazz director at Duke Ellington School.
