Come in from the cold this Sunday as trombonist Matthew Niess returns to the jam to continue our February #ChilledtotheBone series, featuring some of the DC area’s terrific trombone players! Matt is the director of The National Jazz Workshop, president of the Virginia Unit of The Jazz Education Network, professor of Trombone and director of Brass Studies at The Shenandoah Conservatory, leader of The Capitol Bones, member of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and recently retired from The U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble where he served for 30 years.
